Overview

The University of Florida Chest Imaging Seminar Series present a comprehensive set of educational lectures and interactive case discussions, covering important and timely topics in chest imaging, including HRCT and diffuse lung disease, airway disease, lung infection, mediastinal masses, lung nodule diagnosis, lung cancer screening, and state of the art diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. Emphasis will be placed on interaction with the audience with ample time for questions and discussion. The course is based in 20 image enriched lectures with an additional 100 cases and suggested review papers for open discussion. The lectures will be at 12:00 - 1:00 and will be presented live and transmitted by Zoom.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Enhance Diagnostic Accuracy: Interpret advanced imaging studies, including HRCT, cardiac MRI, and multi-energy CT, with greater precision to diagnose complex thoracic diseases such as diffuse lung disease, lung cancer, and cardiovascular conditions.
  2. Apply Evidence-Based Practices: Integrate evidence-based imaging protocols and standardized diagnostic approaches into their clinical practice to ensure consistent and high-quality patient care.
  3. Foster Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with peers and other medical disciplines by leveraging new knowledge and insights gained from the seminar, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to thoracic imaging challenges.
