Surgery Grand Rounds Jacksonville 2025

The UF College of Medicine Jacksonville Department of Surgery hosts grand rounds, which is a one-hour educational event that grants one CME credit. Topics of discussion include clinical, technical, historical, educational, research, and faculty development areas related to surgery and surgical subspecialties. Grand rounds occur on the downtown campus at UF Health in Jacksonville with livestream options to the north and east UF Health campuses also in Jacksonville. Additionally, attendees who cannot attend in-person have the option to attend virtually using videoconference technology, if needed. All faculty, fellows, and residents are active participants and the speakers include faculty, senior residents and fellows, as well as eminent visiting professors from across the country.


AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), ABS CC (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance Certificate (1.00 hours)

1. Increase knowledge of new developments in surgical practice, research, and education, within and outside of the domains pertaining to the participant’s surgical specialty to make more informed decisions.
2. Improve the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate across different specialties and professions when providing care to patients who may or may not undergo surgery.
3. Identify and address how to incorporate new knowledge into a patient-centered surgery practice and social determinants of health, particularly in resource-limited institutions or settings.

The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
