UF Behavioral Health Hub 2025 Skill Building Series - Enduring

This monthly series is part of the formal educational component of the North Central Florida Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative, part of the Statewide Behavioral Health Initiative out of the Florida Department of Health, Children’s Medical Services (the North Central Florida Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative Hub is funded by a grants/contract from Children’s Medical Services). The Hub provides consultation to pediatric PCP’s as well as care coordination support for therapy and other community resources. This series was developed by the UF Behavioral Health Hub to enhance the knowledge base, skills, and competencies necessary for pediatric primary care practitioners to provide entry level behavioral health services to children and families within their practices. ECHO trainings will be conducted on a monthly basis (every third Thursday at noon) via Zoom. Modules will be presented by local experts in the diagnosis, management, and evaluation of the most prevalent mental health concerns seen in patients age 0-21 and will include a brief PowerPoint presentation followed by a group case discussion. Topics include: Pediatric Psychotropic Prescribing for ADHD, Depression and Anxiety, Effective Treatment of Disruptive Behavioral Disorders, Use of Screening and Diagnostic Tools to Assist in Mental Health Assessment, Management of Suicidality in the Pediatric Practice, Motivating Families to Engage in Behavioral Health Services, and Identification of Psychosis in Children and Youth. These modules earn FREE CMEs (1 credit per module) with successful completion of the evaluation.

2. Recognize Effective Treatment of Disruptive Behavioral Disorders
3. Apply the Use of Screening and Diagnostic Tools to Assist in Mental Health Assessment
4. Discuss the Management of Suicidality in the Pediatric Practice
5. Integrate Motivating Families to Engage in Behavioral Health Services, including the BHH
6. Recognize Psychosis in Children and Youth: Identification & Collaboration with the BHH
