Overview
This live event is intended for local prescriptive providers and other support staff who provide services to HIV-positive patients. The program has traditionally taken place in person for the past 35 years providing education and updates on HIV treatment, diagnosis, patient care, and special topics. The activity will take place at Austin Cary Learning Center in Gainesville, Florida (10625 NE Waldo Road), and will include didactic presentations as well as Q&A and skills-building opportunities.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Summarize recent advances in ART options—including long-acting and next-generation regimens—and apply them to patient care.
  2. Integrate HIV management with comorbid conditions and substance use disorders through updated cross-disciplinary approaches.
  3. Implement enhanced diagnostic protocols and point-of-care technologies to improve monitoring of viral suppression.
  4. Identify and manage common ART-related DRPs, improving treatment safety and regimen effectiveness.
  5. Utilize available resources—such as telehealth support, decision tools, and consultation services—to support ongoing clinical decision-making and quality improvement.

Accreditation

The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation

The University of Florida College of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 5.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity is developed in collaboration with the Southeastern National Tuberculosis Center.

Cancellation Policy
Written refund requests must be received on or before 10/31/25. A $10 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests. The fee will be waived if the participant finds another participant to substitute for them in their place. No refunds will be given after 11/1/25. Substitutions will be accepted with advanced notice.
