Artificial Intelligence-Based Medicine: Technical Expertise

In this course, we will look at one of the fundamental programming languages for accessing AI in Medicine—Python. While being a powerful tool in medical AI, Python code is also one of the most accessible programming languages for beginners. In this course, we will explore the history of Python and then complete lessons that will help you set up and program in Python using Jupyter. By the end of this course, we hope that you will have the knowledge base and tools to start your Python programming journey into whatever line of research inquiry you have.

1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Python fundamentals, including its environment, libraries, and coding conventions.
2. Master the skills to write, organize, and run Python code effectively, including importing data from various file formats and using integrated development environments.
3. Develop a strong foundation in AI and data science concepts, including the role of programming languages, integrated development environments, and JupyterLab, as well as the importance of code organization and reuse.
4. Apply Python programming skills to real-world tasks, including AI and data science applications, by working with popular libraries such as Pandas and SVM, and evaluating the features and limitations of various tools and methods.
