This conference, presented by University of Florida Health Jacksonville, takes place on April 26, 2025. This CME program is designed to improve the knowledge, competence and performance of healthcare providers engaged in the care of patients with renal disease. The presentations will provide educational materials which will allow participants to better understand disease processes in patients with renal disease.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify the secondary (vs primary) causes of hypertension
  2. Learn the therapeutic indications and side effects of diuretics
  3. Define the "ABC's" of kidney transplantation
  4. Identify which patients qualify for newer antibiotics to treat urinary tract infections
  5. Learn the different types of cardio-renal syndromes & the different treatment options
  6. Recognize how to categorize & treat different clinical states of hyponatremia
  7. Define the risk factors for developing diabetic nephropathy and the state of the art treatments to forestall progression of disease

The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation
