Florida Cardiac Imaging Course (Florida Meets Liverpool)

Hosted at the University of Florida, this course integrates expertise from U.S. and international faculty — including colleagues from the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and the University of Liverpool — fostering a collaborative, high-level educational environment. The course emphasizes a case-based learning model, combining concise lectures with interactive discussions to enhance diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making.

1. Enhance Diagnostic Accuracy: Interpret advanced cardiovascular imaging studies, including coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, aortic imaging, and multi-energy CT, with greater precision to diagnose complex cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, structural heart disease, ischemic disease, and acute and chronic aortic syndromes.
2. Apply Evidence-Based Practices: Integrate evidence-based cardiovascular imaging protocols, standardized reporting systems, and guideline-directed diagnostic approaches into clinical practice to ensure accurate interpretation, consistent reporting, and high-quality patient care.
3. Foster Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, radiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other healthcare professionals by applying knowledge and insights gained from the course, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to complex cardiovascular imaging and patient management challenges.
